Proud to be an American
I decided since we only had a few days before this homework was due, that I would make my podcast with my personal children. It was a lot harder using children (ages 7 and 4) than we were working during class. I had my 7 year old write a paragraph about America saying anything he wanted. Then I had my 4 year old say the Pledge of Allegiance (which she has previously learned at her pre-school). I had a HARD time trying to find appropriate music. Then both of my children took turns "messing up" while recording. We recorded about 4 times before I finally got a "good" recording. Last, I could not remember how to adjust their voices. I got to the yellow line, but could not get it to adjust when I clicked on it. My son was very quiet no matter how many times I moved him closer to the mic. My daughter was VERY loud. I was not sure how to adjust accordingly. We had a lot of fun working on this together. The kids really liked picking out the music (and they did not like the music I choose). They also LOVED hearing their voices on the playback. Overall, it went well and we had a blast working together as a family.
